Kanpur to Get 110 MW of New Solar Plant, Gets UPERC Nod

Kanpur is set to add 110 MW of new solar power capacity after the Uttar Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (UPERC) approved power purchase agreements (PPAs) and adopted tariffs for two grid-connected solar projects to be developed in Kanpur Dehat and Kanpur Nagar districts. The projects comprise a 75 MW solar plant at Kanpur Dehat and a 35 MW project at Kanpur Nagar and will supply electricity to Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) for a period of 25 years.
