A new baseball season gets going in Keokuk County tonight, and the Sigourney Savages and Keota Eagles are looking to put together strong summers. Sigourney is coming off a second-place finish in the South Iowa Cedar League in 2023 and 18 total wins, while Keota went 11-12 last season.

As they prepare to once again compete in the Class 3A state track and field championships this weekend on the famed blue oval of Drake Stadium, the Washington Demons will take with them a roster of 37 athletes.
