Whilst there is an amazing array of talent on the stage, it is Imelda Staunton’s show and she delivers a spectacular performance that had them standing and applauding for a long time at the end.

The Strange Case of Dr Dillon was a truly amazing and fascinating story of one person’s attempts to live their life as the person they truly are.

A traditional story told in a unique and impressive style with a superb cast, wonderful costumes and songs that left me wanting a cast album.

Director Emma Lee Sigurdsson has put together a tight show making great use of the stage space, lighting, and projection to assist the two actors in bringing Jaylie’s mind to life for the audience.

Slices of Life is on a short run but keep your eyes out in case one or both come back to the innovative theatrical house that is The Stage Door Theatre.

While Liam Rudden’s writing and the acting were good, I believe they didn’t go far enough and left me wanting a lot more.

And I’ll Blow Your House Down was a fascinating glimpse into something I will never experience and I felt privileged to have this opportunity to peek behind the curtain of Georgie’s life and mind.

Tethered Wit have put together a great show that really the Jeeves and Wooster story to life and, I would hope, will be a springboard for many in the audience to go off and dive into their world.

If My Life as a Cowboy tickles your interest, the Cactus Club, an LGBT+ line dancing group, meets just down the road at the Two Brewers.

I really would recommend setting off on the most glamorous train in the world for a trip that will stay with you forever.
