A driver died early Monday after crashing an SUV into a building on Wehrle Drive near Union Road, Amherst police said.

Buffalo Police Commissioner Erika Shields pointed to the organizer of a large street takeover party at East Delavan and Grider as the person who provoked the July 4 violence.

Antonio Pizarro died Saturday in the Erie County Holding Center, and it appears he was killed by others inside the jail.
