SALISBURY, N.C. (WALB) - Tuesday night the Lady Canes clinched their spot in the Elite 8 with a dominating 79-62 win over the number two seed Carson Newman. GSW trailed by six after one but outscored the Eagles 65-42 the rest of the way. The hot shooting continued for the Canes, they shot 51% from the field, while holding the Eagles to just under 38%. GSW’s bench was dominant led by Ndidiamaka Ndukwe who led the team with 21 points. The reserves outscored Carson Newman’s bench 49 to 4.
