The University of Iowa softball team claimed game two of the Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series with a 7-2 victory over Iowa State on Tuesday at the Cyclone Sports Complex.

The University of Iowa softball team defeated Northern Iowa, 21-17, Wednesday at Robinson-Dresser Sports Complex. The game featured eight home runs and 38 combined runs.

The Hawkeyes travel to Lincoln, Nebraska, for a weekend series against No. 3 Nebraska on April 24–25. First pitch for Friday’s doubleheader is set for 3 p.m. (CT), followed by Saturday’s finale at 1 p.m. (CT).

Two student-athletes – Mischa Reiners and Caitlin Tighe – have signed with the University of Iowa softball program, it was announced Monday by head coach Stacy May-Johnson.

The Iowa softball team completed its 49th season in 2026.

Oskaloosa native, Ava Curry, has signed with the University of Iowa softball program. It was announced Monday by head coach Stacy May-Johnson. Curry will be entering her third year of eligibility.
