In this target trial emulation, initiating a glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist (GLP-1RA) was not associated with higher rates of basal insulin discontinuation than initiating a sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitor (SGLT-2i) or dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor (DPP4i) in US veterans with type 2 diabetes (T2D).
