QUINCY – It was a typical sweltering Illinois summer afternoon as the Quincy Blue Devils jogged off the practice field after wrapping up preparations for their first seven-on-seven of the year.

QUINCY – It was another weekend where Mother Nature interfered with the Doggy Paddlers. It was also a three-day stretch that saw a strong effort from the team at home Friday night, only to see them struggle on the road in Burlington Sunday afternoon.

QUINCY – Calm, cool, collected and mature on the football field, John Venvertloh displays those same traits away from it.

QUINCY – Perhaps buoyed by it being ‘'Watermelon Wednesday” or simply the realization that each day brings them closer to kicking off the 2026 season, the Quincy Notre Dame Raiders were particularly locked in during a recent summer morning practice.
