Bourbon County Emergency Management Director Lloyde Campbell said the county has 12 tornado sirens total. He said the sirens are designed specifically for outdoor warning, meaning those inside buildings likely would not have heard them regardless.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A sentencing hearing for a Lexington man in connection to the death of his infant son was postponed for the second time.

Employers are on-site with open positions, conducting on-the-spot interviews. Community resource tables are also available. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 535 West Second Street and is free to attend.

The event runs Monday through the end of the week, July 27-31 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. No appointment is required. The school is located at 208 Legends Lane in Lexington and has been open for approximately three and a half years.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Students at William Wells Brown Elementary School returned to class Wednesday, two weeks before other Fayette County Public Schools are scheduled to begin.

“It has flipped our life completely upside down. I know I have felt like I'm crazy because everybody's like, I don't know what you're talking about,” Mandy Litteral said.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) - The Franklin County Career and Technical Center is launching a new EMT program this school year, adding to its existing fire science curriculum and giving students a way to begin their careers before graduating high school.
