Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that all the wings of the government involved in the examination process are now working on finding solutions.

“A lot of issues have come to light. Nearly 17 lakh students took the exam, which led to around 98 lakh answer-sheets to be evaluated. As each sheet had 40-odd pages, we had to scan over 40 crore pages," Pradhan told reporters.

This was done as part of a wider restructuring exercise ahead of key Assembly elections and the 2029 Lok Sabha preparations.

The exam was to be held in two shifts, but several complaints were made on social media about disruptions in the exams in the first shift.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has acknowledged vulnerabilities in the OnMark portal used by its service provider and said that they have been contained. It added that efforts are underway to rule out any other exploitable weaknesses.

Spokesperson Sambit Patra said that meetings like these where feedback of the party worker is sought, are important for the party.

The committee on Education, Women, Children, Youth and Sports led by Congress Rajya Sabha member Digvijaya Singh had made the observation during a meeting with officials.
