Wisner-Pilger music instructor Sarah Daly said that with “High School Musical Jr.” being the first musical she is directing, she chose a production that had a medium-sized cast. Being new to the district, this year, she wasn't sure how many students would try out.

Bobbi Jo Schaffer of West Point is on a mission to transform Neligh Park into a hub of community and commerce with her upcoming River Valley Makers Market event this Saturday. After attending numerous markets last year, Schaffer felt inspired to create something exceptional right where she lives, sharing, "I wanted to create something great for West Point so people didn't have to travel so far."

The Wisner City Council meeting on May 6 had a short agenda with just a few items for the council to address. A public hearing was held regarding an engineering report for construction of the water treatment plant and water system improvements. Roger Protzman from JEO was present for the public hearing; there were no comments from the public.

With the sun shining on Saturday, Neligh Park was an ideal outdoor venue for the first River Valley Makers Market in West Point. Event organizer Bobbi Jo Schaffer said there were approximately 450 visitors to Saturday's market. The event was so well attended that several food vendors sold out of their items.

Twice a year, the garage stalls of St. Joseph Retirement Community transform into an activity-filled venue stocked with eclectic treasures, thanks to the dedication of Veronica Suhr and a team of volunteers. The St. Joe's Garage Sale has become a staple in the community that many people look forward to every year.
