Salt Bank, Romania’s first fully digital bank, is launching two new plans designed for customers who want more from their banking experience: Salt Everyday and Salt Premium. Because people don’t use banking in the same way. Some customers want a straightforward, intuitive, no-fuss banking experience. For them, the standard Salt plan remains available.

The decline in mortgage interest rates recorded over the past six months across European Union countries has improved the affordability of mortgage financing, with Romania entering the top five countries with the cheapest mortgages, taking into account average wages and the costs of buying a one-bedroom apartment through a mortgage loan, according to a report issued by the online broker Ipotecare.ro.

Delgaz Grid, the electricity and natural gas distribution company within the E.ON Romania Group, has successfully secured a sustainable refinancing facility worth RON 3 billion to meet the company’s liquidity needs. The proposed syndicated loan aims to increase financial flexibility, support the company’s current operational and strategic objectives, and stimulate growth in the Regulated Asset Base (RAB).

The Romanian company Smart ID Technology, which specializes in the digitization, automation, and securitization of business processes and is an active partner of Panasonic TOUGHBOOK, aims to capitalize on the opportunities generated by the European program Security Action for Europe (SAFE) in areas such as defense, dual-use infrastructure, civil protection, critical communications, military mobility, and cybersecurity.

CTP, Europe’s largest listed developer, owner, and operator of industrial and logistics properties by gross leasable area (“GLA”), is expanding FM Logistic’s facility at CTPark Bucharest by an additional 10,300 sqm, further strengthening the long-term partnership between the two companies. Following the expansion, FM Logistic will operate approximately 116,000 sqm across CTP’s industrial parks in Romania.

Time spent in traffic is becoming the heaviest “invisible tax” paid by Bucharest residents, with 7 out of 10 of them saying they are dissatisfied with this aspect. More than half (52%) of respondents spend over an hour a day in traffic for essential activities such as commuting to work, taking children to school, or shopping, with 31.7% spending between 1 and 2 hours and 20.3% spending more than 2 hours.

STRABAG, selected as the general contractor for the development of the residential and office buildings in the QUEENS District, is beginning construction on the site. Upon completion, STRABAG will relocate its Bucharest headquarters to the complex. Under the lease agreement, STRABAG will occupy approximately 4,600 square meters across three floors in Building A, thereby becoming the project’s first signed anchor tenant.

The Offer was approved by the Romanian Financial Supervisory Authority on 24 June 2026. Through the Offer, One United Properties intends to acquire up to 4,770,000 shares, representing up to 4.32% of the Company’s subscribed and paid-up share capital, at a price of RON 33.00 per share. The Offer will be carried out between 1 July 2026 and 14 July 2026.

MCA Grup, a local manufacturer of garage and industrial doors, as well as window and door shutter systems, recorded a business growth of over 20% in 2025, surpassing a turnover of €15 million (RON 75 million) for the first time. This performance was driven by an increasing export presence in both regional and Western European markets, as well as strategic investments over recent years aimed at automating production lines.

In the first five months of the year, the budget deficit decreased by more than RON 28.3 billion compared to the same period last year, or by 1.60 percentage points as a share of GDP—marking one of the most significant budgetary adjustments in recent years, according to data from the Ministry of Finance.
