The premium and luxury residential market has grown significantly in recent years, particularly in Bucharest. ING Bank Romania, together with the National Directorate for Cyber Security (DNSC), the Romanian Police, and the Romanian Institute for Active Aging, organized ING SAFE Talks, a new event dedicated to informing the public about the latest methods of digital fraud. For the first time, telephone scams rank first among all types of fraud. Of the total incidents reported by the DNSC in the first half of the year, 42% were telephone scams (vishing), 14% were phishing scams, and 13% were SMS scams (smishing).
