AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Transit Partnership board of directors on Wednesday will consider a preliminary design contract for the city's future light rail vehicles.

Austin Transit Partnership has greenlit $39 million to kick off the design, testing, and eventual delivery of a new fleet of light‑rail train cars.
