The phrase "dinner theater" has been around since the 1940s. While Northwest Arkansas Audio Theater's next 1940s radio-style production will serve no food, the menu does have history as the main course and art as dessert.

It started with classic musicals like "The Sound of Music" and "The Music Man" on DVD and became hands-on real with a role in "Annie" at Arkansas Public Theatre. Now Brittany Tavernaro, a library media specialist by day, acts, sings, dances and is currently directing the musical comedy "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" for Theatre Collective of Northwest Arkansas. She paused to answer five questions.
