Recent rainfall is buying the Coastal Bend more time before tougher water restrictions kick in. The city is now giving a December timeline for a level one emergency.

For Tuesday's storms, the company says it pre-positioned 264 workers before the storms arrived and brought in 50 crews from Oklahoma to assist in South Texas.

Power outages peaked at nearly 12,000 in Corpus Christi during the storm, but AEP crews quickly restored most customers by Wednesday.
