No television series finale will ever satisfy everyone, but in a few cases, not even the creators of the shows themselves were happy with how they turned out. For some of the most popular TV shows of all time, putting a cap on multiple seasons of groundbreaking TV can be near impossible, forcing showrunners, writers, and directors to make choices that, in hindsight, left audiences with a sour taste in their mouths. Even recently, the "Euphoria" series finale has drawn unflattering comparisons to the polarizing endings of "Game of Thrones" and "Stranger Things."

Real fans of "Community" know there's never really been anything quite like it before or since. Created by future "Rick & Morty" co-creator Dan Harmon, "Community" premiered on NBC in 2009, following a smarmy ex-lawyer, Jeff Winger (Joel McHale), whose attempts to sleep with classmate Britta Perry (Gillian Jacobs) result in him leading a study group of eclectic strangers, including pop culture fanatic Abed (Danny Pudi), clueless jock Troy (Donald Glover), type-A overachiever Annie (Alison Brie), octogenarian magnate Pierce (Chevy Chase), and single mother Shirley (Yvette Nicole Brown).

"Breaking Bad" is one of the best TV shows of the 21st century. Ending over 13 years ago, the acclaimed series still reigns as one of the greatest (if not the greatest) series AMC ever made.

Apple TV found another hit with "Margo's Got Money Troubles." Based on a novel by Rufi Thorpe, the series stars Oscar nominee Elle Fanning as the titular young woman, a college dropout who turns to OnlyFans to support herself and her new baby. Its star-studded supporting cast includes Nick Offerman as Margo's father, a former pro wrestler, Michelle Pfeiffer as Margo's withholding mother, and Nicole Kidman as a former wrestler turned lawyer.

When "Stranger Things" debuted on Netflix in 2016, it quickly became one of the platform's biggest hits, reigniting the careers of stars like Winona Ryder and David Harbour while launching younger cast members such as Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Sadie Sink, and Joe Keery into A-list status. Along the way, the show brought iconic music from the'80s back into the mainstream, all while paying tribute to films from "Back to the Future" to "Terminator 2: Judgment Day."

The cold open has been around since the very beginning of television, slowly becoming a surefire way to grab an audience's attention at the very start of a program. What better way to get audiences to stay through the opening credits (and possibly a commercial break) than with a quick scene that gets them to lean forward, laugh, or wonder what could happen next?

After a long wait, "House of the Dragon" has finally returned for its third season. Even compared to its notoriously bloody predecessor, "Game of Thrones," "House of the Dragon" has gained quite a reputation for killing off main characters from episode to episode. Where it differs from the original HBO series is that its source material, George R. R. Martin's "Fire & Blood," chronicles the history of the Targaryen dynasty, meaning many of these characters'fates were decided long before the show was greenlit.
