Teenager Killed in Park Shooting August 15, 2025 August 15, 2025 Kristen Duus, PIO Greeley Police Department 970.350.9605 (office) Teenager Killed in Park Shooting GREELEY, Colo. – On August 14, at approximately 8:00pm, officers from the Greeley Police Department responded to Centennial Park in the 2200 block of 23 rd Avenue following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an 18-year-old male with at least one gunshot wound. He was transported to Northern Colorado Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. Prior to the shooting, witnesses reported a fight between occupants of a red truck and a gray sedan. Following the shooting, the suspect fled in the gray sedan. The suspect is described to be a Caucasian male. This investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective Elizabeth Finch at [email protected] or (970) 350‑9682. This was an isolated incident and there is no danger to the community. No further details will be released today.
