Earlier this month, a 7-year-old girl waited in a parking lot as her mother carried a load of laundry into a Lake Havasu Avenue laundromat. It was only when her mother went inside that the man parked next to their vehicle spoke to her.

According to local law enforcement, a Lake Havasu City man accused of attempting to abduct a 7-year-old girl was himself reported as a “missing person” about two weeks prior to his arrest.

The Mohave County Board of Supervisors will meet at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the County Administration Building at 700 W. Beale St. in Kingman.

Investigation is ongoing this weekend into an apparent murder-suicide on the 900 block of Coconut Grove Drive.

Controversy arose in Kingman on Election Night last month, after a journalist from the Kingman Daily Miner was reportedly turned away as votes were being counted. Now officials are expected to open a portion of the Mohave County Administrative Building to the public as votes are counted in the General Election.
