SEATTLE After a warm and sunny Thursday across Western Washington , the weather pattern is set to make a sharp turn heading into Friday.

Showers and cooler temperatures Friday, highs only reaching the low 60s.

Highs today will be in the low to mid 60s with afternoon sunshine.

Warmer weather builds through early next week, with some areas potentially reaching the low 90s by Tuesday.

Sunday will remain mild and dry with a little more warmth expected across the region. Winds will shift to a more northerly direction, helping temperatures inch upward compared to Saturday.

After a cool end to the week on Friday, sunnier skies returned for this weekend. The ridge of high pressure will continue to keep skies clear into Sunday. A few spots may wake up to some patchy low clouds, but clear out quickly.

We are coming off a beautiful weekend with plenty of sunshine and mild temperatures. We will warm up even more by Tuesday with spots nearing 90 degrees. This will also lead to a higher fire danger on Monday and Tuesday.

Plenty of sunshine for Monday, whether you are out doing yard work or lucky enough to take in the M's game today.

Afternoon high temperatures will reach the mid to upper 80s for Western Washington as high pressure continues to build.

The roller-coaster temperatures will be on the down slide through Saturday. Along with cooler days, we will see chances of rain the next several days too.
