DAYTON — Additonal rainfall expected late Thursday and through the front half of Friday. The boundary that finally moved south allowing for a drier start Thursday will shift back north.

Flooding remains a significant concern in Indiana and anywhere that has received numerous inches of rain.

DAYTON — Rain and storms continue to push along a ridge of high pressure thoughout the weekend. While storm and rain chances will be more scattered, any amount of rain will add to the previous flooding across eastern Indiana and parts of the Miami Valley.

DAYTON — High pressure has set up just to the west of the Miami Valley allowing for more of a northwest wind. This keeps us dry and the air not as humid. Not only that, but temperatures will remain below average throughout the rest of the week and into the next. The temperature drop isn't just a result of a northerly wind shift, but a reinforcing cold front.

A higher chance of rain moves through overnight into early Thursday.

DAYTON — An area of low pressure will build to our northwest and ride along an cold front which will attempt to slide through the Miami Valley. Rain chances will come with area of low pressure. Unfortunately, heavy rain and a few thunderstorms bring the potenital for localized flooding.

DAYTON — Dangerous flooding rains came down across the Miami Valley Wednesday evening and continued through the early morning hours Thursday. Estimated rainfall totals reached in upward of 6 inches. Widespread rainfall totals amounted to 2 to 4 inches under heavier downpours.

DAYTON — The Storm Prediction Center out of Norman, OK has issued a marginal risk for severe weather across the majority of the Miami Valley. This is a level one of five, meaning an isolated severe storm is possible.

DAYTON — The jet stream has dipped south of the Miami Valley allowing for temperatures to fall nearly 10 degrees below average. Morning low temperatures will stay in the 50s for the next three mornings. High temperatures are forecast in the middle to upper 70s, nearly just 80 degrees for the middle of the week.

DAYTON — An area of low pressure is developing to the west of the Miami Valley. Attached to it will be a cold front that will slide across SW Ohio Thursday. Rain chances are increasing early Thursday, then again throughout the afternoon and evening.
