SKIATOOK, Okla. — Amid the severe weather moving across Oklahoma, some people are enjoying a quiet respite at Skiatook Lake. Visitors call it "clean" and "beautiful," but there's one gripe; the water level.

The tornado damaged the entire fleet of buses for the district, but the Oklahoma Standard prevailed. Davis schools lent a buss for regional competition, and Oklahoma City lent one for State.

"When you see this type of damage, it’s just heartbreaking, you just don’t know how anybody could survive," Gov. Kevin Stitt said.

BARNSDALL, Okla. — The Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Barnsdall is one of the buildings left standing in the tornado's path. Save for some window and roof damage, the house of worship was spared from the tornado’s wrath. The church’s pastor Emmanuel Nduka, expected nothing less.

Many kids will never live through the aftermath of a tornado. Some might go through one. Swanson has lived through two, in less than 60 days.

“I want it to stand out in a crowd. I mean, I don’t want it to look like every other house,” Tanya Halford, the owner of a green and pink Barnsdall home said.

“We want to have our river back,” Mayor GT Bynum said, “We want to be able to use it. We want it to be the focal point of outdoor, water-based recreation in our city that our previous cities got.”

The suit says 25% of diabetic Oklahomans can’t afford their insulin. As a result, they ration what doses they buy. Megan Quickle, who lives with Type 1 Diabetes, feels the pinch of those high prices.

“We realize it was just a body they were looking for. He’s already up in heaven with Jesus so we were at peace with that,” Richard Hogue said.

Experts estimate Social Security recipients will see an increase of about 3% next year. The Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) is in line with inflation.
