For the first time in program history, the Sidney boys golf team will compete in the state tournament.

ATLANTIC – The Clarinda girls tennis team qualified for its third consecutive state team tournament with a 5-2 win over Lewis Central Tuesday, May 14, in the Class 1A Region 2 final, played at Atlantic High School.

The Shenandoah baseball team had at least one runner on base in five different innings but stranded seven in a 7-0 home loss to Lewis Central Tuesday, May 14, in the season opener.

The Shenandoah boys tennis team saw its season with a 5-2 home loss to North Polk Wednesday, May 15, in a Class 1A Substate Final.

DES MOINES – Two Essex seniors wrapped up their track and field career competing at the State Track and Field Championships Thursday, May 16.

The Sidney girls golf team finished third, one place short of what was needed to qualify for what would have been their second straight trip to the state golf tournament.

Clarinda sophomore Taylor Rasmussen fell one stroke short of earning a berth at the state golf tournament.
