Authorities are searching for a suspect who they said burglarized a San Anselmo home and assaulted a resident.

The one-alarm incident was reported around 2:25 p.m. Tuesday in a three-story building at 550 Canal St. Flames spread from a burning vehicle to another car parked nearby, Deputy Fire Chief Robert Sinnott said.
