Strong thunderstorms are possible along and east of the mountains Thursday afternoon. The metro and valley might see a shower or two, but the storm risk is low. We'll be cooler Friday before we warm up in time for the final weekend of May.
A brief warmup arrives Monday and peaks Tuesday, with some inland areas nearing 90 before cooler and cloudier weather returns.
Strengthening high pressure will push our highs into the mid 80s Monday, and then around 90 degrees on Tuesday with weak offshore (easterly) wind. A warm start to June!
We'll stay mainly dry both Thursday and Friday before a few showers arrive this weekend. Next week looks slightly cooler and wet at times.
Watch for spots of drizzle Friday before more robust showers arrive Saturday. We're trending cooler next week with occasional showers.
It is much more comfortable out there Tuesday compared to Monday! Metro area afternoon temperatures are running 10-15 degrees cooler. Our Mother Nature-powered air conditioner has flipped back on- maybe you noticed the breezier conditions as cooler marine air is pouring back into the region.
