Any of us- even at the lowest elevations- could see snowflakes over the next four days. It'll be "conversational snow" for the vast majority of us, but accumulating snow is also possible anywhere through Wednesday. Daytime temperatures should melt any minor accumulated snowfall at the lowest elevations, so little impact is likely in the afternoons.

The next four days look pretty uneventful, with a few lingering scattered showers in the mountains tomorrow. We're staying chilly but dry, and the incoming cold and dry airmass will plunge our overnight lows back into the 20s next week.

The next front arrives at some point Tuesday afternoon or evening, bringing back widespread rain through Wednesday. Models are still indicating Thursday and Friday could be mainly dry, and then we turn wet again over the weekend.

Localized flooding or ponding is possible anywhere from the coastline through the Cascades, so there's a Flood Watch in effect until Tuesday night. A few of the rivers we typically see flooding are forecast to crest in the "action" or "minor" flood stage, including the Grays, Newaukum, Chehalis, Cowlitz and Nisqually rivers, to name a few.

The Portland metro area is under a wind advisory, with gusts closer to 45 MPH anticipated. We could absolutely see some scattered power outages from that, considering the ground is so saturated. For that reason, we decided to call a First Alert Weather Day Monday afternoon through Tuesday morning.

Overall- we're back to a cooler, wetter pattern starting Sunday with highs returning to the low to mid 50s.

Saturday will feature much more thin, high clouds- so the sunshine will look "filtered" or hazy. We'll continue to stay dry through most of the day Sunday before a weak system slides in some light rain around or after sunset.
