Corry Fire Department had a busy first quarter between calls, station and vehicle maintenance, and personnel training.

Perhaps most notable in a first-quarter police report given to City Council on April 15 was the listing of a homicide in the city of Corry. It was the stabbing to death of Paul Hellmann II by his wife, Kellie Hellmann on Jan. 19. Hellmann remains in Erie County Prison, awaiting trial.
