Terry exemplifies what all Catholics should strive for. A hunger and thirst for God in one's life and the accompanying desire to share that received love from God with others. There are certain writers who feel called to let others know about Saints and be inspired and encouraged to call upon their intercession for us and others. Belinda felt called by God to write a prayer book to help people know and pray with the Saints on their feast days when they are most powerful in their intercession. She has a mission to help the Church pray in power this way and has given us the prayer book,

I think one of my favorite holy days is Corpus Cristi. I cried during Mass at the Gospel and at the homily on that day. My husband meant to write something for that feast day but for various reason he never did. This reflection is meant to honor the spirit of that day. I have several stories, essays and my wife has several poems that we have never professionally published for all the world to sea. Perhaps you have some hidden gems hidden away in a notebook or on your computer that you want to see the light of the printed page. Is it too late for that manuscript sitting in the dusty bin of your brain? No it's not. It took our next writer 50 years before he published a book he started decades earlier. He's published 2 books in his mystery series so far and he already has things mapped out for book 7. Paul D. McDonald is another one of the writers who owns the fictional world that he has created. He knows his characters and what is going on in them.

I love the fact that many Catholic men and women have the gift of assembling words of the English language and constructing them into paragraphs that convey a story or essay reflecting the Catholic faith in some way shape or form. Some of them put these words together in blogs and some in books printed and electronically. Some compose songs, make comics or make Youtube videos or podcasts. I sent out a blog post asking various different catholic authors to answer 16 questions about Catholic writing and their particular writing in general. I got back a lot of talented faithful Catholics who write in a plethora of genres and mediums. Here is a list of those who submitted interviews that I have published and also will publish. Besides these new faces on my blog, I have a link to some older interviews and some contributing Catholic fiction writers who submitted guest articles for the blog.

So far, I've only seen 3 movies in the theaters in 2026. Most of the big movies major studios saw fit to greenlit into the films that have been shown in cinemas this year have turned out to be critical and commercial failures. I saw the pretty OK Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu which didn't thrill or excite me but did leave me a little underwhelmed but not completely let down. This past weekend I went out of my way to gather some friends together to see Toy Story 5. I usually see movie by myself these days. I once got like 15 people together to see The Time Machine (2002). This film and outing turned out to be a success of a get together and a success of a movie. It was a get together of my friends from college. Jodie and Randy Hamila and David Patten, plus Kristin and myself.
