Green hydrogen fertiliser developer Atome expects clarity on new power tariffs for its flagship $665m Villeta project in Paraguay by early September, as Paraguay reviews electricity prices for large industrial users.

If awarded in full, the central and regional subsidies would cover more than 35% of the project’s expected ¥35bn ($219.9m) cost, excluding the value of the real-estate tax break.
