At DeLillo Pastry Shop in Bronx’s Little Italy, it’s very possible to spend at least 10 minutes staring at the gold-lined display cases trying to figure out how many of the baked goods you can reasonably consume. The sheer variety at this shop on the corner of Arthur Ave. and 187th Street is seriously overwhelming, but stick to the classics, like pignoli and rainbow cookies, and make sure to load up on their standard but reliably good cannoli—the small ones have a crunchier shell than the larger ones.
