Since returning to the Big East Conference in 2020, the UConn baseball team has played the Xavier Musketeers in the championship round three times. Connecticut captured the tournament crown the first two times, but Xavier got their revenge last spring for their first automatic bid since 2017.

Three years ago, Paige Bueckers and Caitlin Clark, both freshmen and two of the nation’s top four recruits, battled in the Sweet 16 of the River Walk Region in San Antonio.

With each triumph during their 12-game homestand, the UConn baseball team has gotten hotter and hotter. Since Easter weekend, the Huskies have gone 7-2 and collected critical conference series wins over the Xavier Musketeers and St. John’s Red Storm. Connecticut has outscored their opponents 62-30 over their past six games and 99-61 during their current homestand.

43 players from the UConn football team have heard their name called in the National Football League Draft’s 88-year history. Third Team All-American offensive guard Christian Haynes could become UConn’s 44th next week in Detroit.

When they last played in Virginia, the UConn baseball team lost two out of three games versus the then-No. 5 Virginia Cavaliers.

The UConn baseball team went 7-11 across their first 18 games of the season. UConn has since gone 15-7, with 12 of those victories coming in their last 14 contests. Now, the Huskies head into the final stretch of the regular season, which starts this weekend in Storrs when they welcome the Villanova Wildcats.
