U.S. District Judge Corey L. Maze denied summary judgment requests from Jackson County, the City of Scottsboro and the Tennessee Valley Authority in a memorandum opinion issued this week and cleared the way for a trial in response to three consolidated lawsuits filed by survivors, victims' families and affected boat owners after the 2020 dock fire at Jackson County Park Marina.
