A gun was located on the scene, but police have not released a cause of death.

CHICAGO (CBS) -- The University of Chicago issued a campuswide security alert, after three students were robbed at gunpoint within five minutes on Wednesday.

There have been four robberies within the last month, dating back to March 23, with the latest incident happening on Tuesday.

JOLIET, Ill. (CBS) – A 37-year-old man who had been missing for nearly a week in southwest suburban Joliet was found dead Friday morning in the Des Plaines River.

No arrests have been made.

There were a total of eight victims in four separate, similar, incidents all just minutes apart.

Chicago police said the 20-year-old in custody is connected to 22-year-old Xavier Tate Jr., who is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Officer Louis Huesca.

"We are praying for our city to be united. We are praying for real community safety and real investments. And most of all, I think we are praying for our young people."
