Tesla shares rose after Elon Musk said late Friday that the EV maker would unveil its self-driving Robotaxi in August. The stock was up over 4% early Monday, cutting into its steep losses in 2024 so far.

On a quiet day for stocks, the Dow—recently up 0.2%—is the only major U.S. index in the green. The healthcare company's first-quarter earnings came in above Wall Street’s estimates, helping the shares to a roughly 5% rise. The stock is contributing some 150 points to the blue-chip index, according to Dow Jones Market Data.

Shares of United Airlines rose Wednesday morning, lifted by quarterly results reported last night that included earnings stronger than Wall Street expected. Other airline stocks climbed too. United's stock was recently up some 11%.
