Sadie Blackbird has been selected as the April Member of the Month for Boys & Girls Club of Sequoyah County, Vian Unit. Blackbird is the daughter of Lyndsay and Justin Blackbird. She was selected because she shows great leadership qualities during club time. She takes initiative to help others during power hour from listening to them read to helping with math. Her favorite activity at the club is Fun & Fitness.

Sample ballots are now available for the June 18 election. Voters can download a sample ballot using the State Election Board OK Voter Portal at oklahoma.gov/elections/ovp or pick up a copy at the Sequoyah County Election Board during normal business hours.

May 24 is the last day to apply for voter registration in order to be eligible to vote in the June 18 primary election, Sequoyah County Election Board Secretary Cindy Osborn says.
