The Brief Most of Southeast Michigan is waking up to a light coating of snow Monday.

The Brief Monday starts with temperatures about 10 degrees below average. Snow flurries are possible, but accumulation is not expected.

The primary concern would be damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph, along with the potential for large hail over an inch in diameter. There's also a low-end, but not zero, tornado risk—around 5%—which is enough to keep a close eye on things, especially if storms can fully mature.

The Brief Despite some rain earlier in the day, severe weather risks still remain for later Thursday.

It's been an active and at times loud day across Southeast Michigan, and we're not quite done yet.

Strong thunderstorms move in overnight, with high winds, hail, downpours, and even an isolated tornado all possible in Southeast Michigan.

The Brief Michigan has had 13 tornadoes so far this year. On average, the state has 13-16 tornadoes.

The Brief Pollen is descending on Metro Detroit with spring allergies in full force this week.

If it feels more like July than May today, you're not imagining it. Southeast Michigan is in for a very warm and humid stretch to start the week, with temperatures making a run toward 90 degrees this afternoon and heat index values climbing into the lower 90s. It will easily be one of the hottest and most humid days we've seen so far this year.

Temperatures are climbing back into the 80s across Metro Detroit today, but thankfully the humidity won't be nearly as intense as some of the sticky stretches we've dealt with recently.
