PEORIA (25News Now) - Overcast skies remain in place this Saturday afternoon resulting in a dreary start to the weekend. Rain returns to the area this evening as showers move into our southwestern counties around dinnertime. Showers will move northeast and will be widespread across the entire area by 9-10pm. There will be a break in precipitation overnight before scattered showers move in by Sunday morning.
PEORIA (25News Now) - A system located over southeastern Nebraska will move into central Illinois after midnight and will bring another minor chance of precipitation to areas south of I-74. Models continue to shift this system more south, so we’re only keeping a chance of rain/snow overnight for our southern counties with no accumulation expected. Precipitation will exit by 7am Monday and morning temperatures will be in the low 30s. The remainder of the day will be mostly cloudy with peeks of sunshine and highs in the low 40s.
PEORIA (25News Now) - It’s a partly sunny, breezy and mild start with temperatures in the mid 40s. Highs today will again be well above average in the upper 50s near 60 and winds will remain breezy from the south-southwest. The main difference between today and yesterday is the cloud coverage. Clouds will increase as the day goes on as a low-pressure system approaches from the west and will later bring central Illinois wet weather.
PEORIA (25News Now) - A low-level cloud deck has been slow to exit this afternoon, but there has been clearing for those in parts of Fulton, Knox, Mason and Peoria counties! Eventually, all skies will become mainly clear this evening, then another round of middle to high level clouds will pass overnight for areas south of I-74. It’ll be another cold start Monday with lows in the low 20s and feel-like temperatures in the upper teens (winds will be relatively light, so not too much of a wind chill, but still cold). Highs will be near average in the low to mid 40s!

Highs will return to the low 50s today and clouds will continue to move in as the day goes on. The added cloud coverage is thanks to a system that will lift into central Illinois and bring us a wet start to the weekend.
