Certain light-duty vehicles have the potential to earn around $3,000 per summer, and school buses $12,000, by enrolling in the state’s virtual power plant, a state program manager told Utility Dive.

The lawsuit alleges a “sham settlement agreement to unlawfully cancel an offshore wind lease and redirect the money paid for the lease to a separate, unauthorized use favored by the President.”

Holy Cross Energy CEO Bryan Hannegan said the utility plans to expand its programs for smart electrification and demand flexibility, and selectively add new flexible renewable resources.

Utility-scale solar generation is expected to increase 19% this summer compared to last summer, reflecting a 20% increase in capacity, said the Energy Information Administration.

Pacific Gas & Electric said the milestone comes during an industry shift from “a one‑way grid to an interactive system where customer energy resources are increasingly part of the solution.”
