Notwithstanding multiple hits collections and ‘Best Ofs ‘, there’s been precious little archiving done on the Eagles’ body of work over the fifty-plus years of their career. The most notable exception is the thematically-collated 4-CD boxset of 2000 Selected Works 1972-1999, because the remainder of such efforts include a flimsy 40th Anniversary release of Hotel California and the arguable overkill of the 2018 collection Legacy a hefty compendium of studio, live and rare audio content along with concert videos.

A cursory inspection of the 2CD reissue of the first Little Feat album is somewhat misleading, but ultimately thought-provoking in the most positive sense.
