The cooling trend will continue today as a trough of low pressure moves over California. Onshore flow and a weak eddy were the reasons why low clouds were pushed into our communities.

Friday will be another cool and cloudy morning as the marine layer clouds are spread across the beaches, coastal valleys, and some interior areas in northern San Luis Obispo County.

With thousands of firefighters on the front lines of the Gifford Fire, two local businesses in Pismo Beach are teaming up to thank them for their efforts.

Night through morning, low clouds are expected from now through Tuesday. A warming trend is expected to occur Sunday through Tuesday.

The warm air mass will cause high temperatures on Wednesday to reach the 80s and 90s in many locations, with readings up to 100-105 degrees over some of the interior valleys.

A high-pressure system is currently sitting over the Four Corners Region and is expected to intensify and increase daytime highs in California. The heatwave will continue through this weekend.

Expect temperatures to soar into the 95-105 degree range over interior areas, peaking Thursday and Friday.

A very warm to dangerously hot weather pattern continues on Friday. Triple-digit temps are expected for some of our interior valleys.

The heatwave continues this weekend due to a high-pressure system that remains positioned over the 4 Corners region through Sunday.

The upper-level trough of low pressure will create a cooling trend for the rest of the week, but daytime highs will still be warmer in the interior.
