Valentino is no stranger to the storied world of literature, for SS24, the brand’s show took place at The University of Milan and paid homage to Hanya Yanagihara’s A Little Life, using the devastating story riddled with abuse, trauma and violence to paint an evolving portrait of masculinity. Therefore, it is no surprise that the Italian house has just been announced as the new sponsor of the International Booker Prize.

Last month, Celine announced the introduction of a beauty line that debuted in the FW24 collection film La Collection de l’Arc de Triomphe which paid tribute to the height of 60s glamour, joining Hedi Slimane’s Haute Parfumerie arm of the house. Continuing his foray into the decade, Slimane’s latest fragrance Zouzou takes its name and inspiration from the sylph-like heroines donning mini-skirts and pixie-cropped hair cuts which defined the era.

Jacob Ogden’s interest is peaked by his subject’s vulnerability, capturing people in their purest form on his medium format camera, producing intimate portraits of friends, lovers and families. Currently based in Los Angeles, America’s West Coast becomes a character in its own right as Californian sunsets cast honeyed shadows across Ogden’s subjects or the Golden Gate Bridge looms in the background of a perfectly framed portrait.

It’s nearly May but it still feels like winter outside (sorry for bringing up the weather, we know it’s boring) so we’ve made sure this weekend’s combo is full of plans that avoid the outdoors.

We first heard the news that Guadagnino had recruited Jonathan Anderson as his costume designer back in 2022, leaping from catwalk to costume to build a wardrobe for what has already been tipped as the film of the year, despite only hitting cinemas today.

A prominent figure in furthering the feminist movement of the 1960s and 1970s, Chicago has become a pioneer for her contemporaries and future generations alike through her audacious approach to creating works of art.
