Recruiting has a long, long way to go in a relatively short timeframe. Steve Sarkisian currently has 11 commitments with an average rating of 91.02. That's a good number, even if it is skewed by Easton Royal's gaudy 97.33.

A handful of readers in this morning's Q&A asked about how the linebacker position might shake out in recruiting. The Horns appear to have struck gold in the 2026 cycle, with Tyler Atkinson, Rocky Cummings, and Kosi Okpala all having promising springs. But, now the staff, including the addition of Will Muschamp, need to build on that young foundation.
