In a narrow 3-2 vote, the Kempner City Council agreed to lower the speed limit on Sidewinder Street to 10 mph. The action came during Tuesday’s regular meeting after resident concerns were noted about the existing 30 mph limit on the street.

As cyclosporiasis cases surge nationwide, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that people thoroughly wash all fresh fruits and vegetables under running water to help protect against the parasite.
