Schneider Electric and Motivair have completed a phased delivery of more than $290 million in AI infrastructure for TeraWulf's Lake Mariner campus in New York. The campus targets up to 750 MW of power demand at full buildout and counts Core42 and Fluidstack, the latter backed by Google, as anchor tenants.
KPN and Schwarz Digits are jointly launching a European sovereign cloud solution for the Dutch market. Through STACKIT, Schwarz Digits' cloud platform, the cloud infrastructure will be hosted in KPN data centers in the Netherlands. The service targets critical sectors such as government, financial services, healthcare, and energy.

The “SaaSpocalypse” does not appear to be reflected in the figures from the SaaS companies that were supposed to fall victim to it. Nevertheless, investors are reacting very differently to the results of Snowflake, Salesforce, Zscaler, Nutanix, and others.
Anthropic has released Claude Opus 4.8, an incremental upgrade to Opus 4.7. The new model is more honest in its self-assessments and roughly four times less likely to let coding errors pass unremarked. It launches at the same price as its predecessor, alongside new features including dynamic workflows and user-controlled effort levels. Despite assumptions that Anthropic will eventually release a Mythos-level LLM, this doesn't appear to be anywhere close to that presumed capability.

An “extremely disappointed” Kyndryl has been blocked by the Dutch government in its pursuit of taking over Dutch IT provider Solvinity.
Alongside its proposed AI PCs for consumers, Nvidia shared its multifaceted AI plans for enterprise. The company reports that its flagship platform Vera Rubin is ramping into full production, superceding Blackwell. In addition, DGX Station ‘deskside' PCs will power developers working on AI with trillion-parameter models, while a revamped Agent Toolkit will make said job easier. Nvidia is also continuing its push to further physical AI with the open Cosmos 3 model and a reference robot.

The first IPO of an AI model developer is imminent. Anthropic, the company behind the increasingly successful Claude, has filed a confidential registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). “Confidential” means that the document itself cannot be viewed prior to the IPO. OpenAI has not yet reached that stage, so it appears that Anthropic will beat the ChatGPT developer to the punch.
Intel has launched the Xeon 6+ server processor series. These are the first data center CPUs built on the Intel 18A process. The six-chip lineup tops out at 288 cores. Notably, the announcement is paired with a preview of the Crescent Island GPU with 480 gigabytes of VRAM, a new Ethernet adapter family, and an entry-level server processor.
The memory crunch is raising prices for hyperscalers, enterprises and consumers. SK Hynix is benefitting enormously from it, just like the other two major memory manufacturers Micron and Samsung.
