CUMBERLAND – The town edged closer to the state's 10 percent goal for affordable housing, reaching 6.53 percent last year, according to the 2025 HousingWorks RI Fact Book from Roger Williams University.

NORTH SMITHFIELD – The town saw a boost in its percentage of low- and moderate-income housing (LIMH) stock thanks to a new state calculation, going from 7.81 percent in 2024 and needing 117 more units to reach the state's goal of 10 percent, to 8.26 percent and needing 93 more units.
