GRAFTON – Michael DeLuca remembers having conversations with his father, Richard, about traveling to Minnesota to compete in powerlifting at the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games.

WESTBOROUGH – When Westborough resident Kaitlyn Zogg was young, she struggled to understand why she couldn’t pick up spelling like her peers. At age 10, she was diagnosed with dyslexia, a learning disability that affects a person's ability to read, write, and spell.

A crowd of Marlborough Fire Department personnel, alumni, family members, friends, and city officials gathered at the department’s Maple Street headquarters on July 23 to celebrate the promotion of six individuals.

So, Northborough is planning ahead. During the latest Northborough Select Board meeting, Bacon said that the town was in the early stages of an agreement with Trinity Church – located near Cumberland Farms, directly in the town’s center – to license out spaces.

HUDSON – The “clicking” and “clacking” of the Hudson Senior Center’s billiards room can be heard throughout the building. Often, curious visitors peek inside the door to catch a glimpse of the action.

Prompted by an accident in Downtown Westborough, the Select Board on July 21 considered a plan that would temporarily remove a half-dozen parking spots around the rotary area in the name of safety. The board ultimately voted to hold off instituting the plan for the time being.

According to Facebook posts and permits filed with the town, Bumblebee Academy is coming to 1 Daaina Drive. The building is at the corner of Gleason Street and Fisher Street, near the town’s border with Shrewsbury and the Westborough MBTA station.

After playing football at Littleton High School and Providence College, Petkewich started competing for the Marlboro Shamrocks, the legendary New England Football League team. He played in over 100 games, won the national championship with the team, was named to the All-80s team, and played wide receiver. He keeps a Shamrocks helmet next to his workspace, and values relationships he forged with teammates and Bob Kays.

GRAFTON – Like many towns across Massachusetts, Grafton is considering allowing on-site consumption of marijuana. On July 21, Annette Garcia – the public health director for Shrewsbury, Grafton, and West Boylston – led the Select Board in a discussion about potential options going forward.
