MARLBOROUGH – Many residents deal with the Marlborough Police Department during some of their worst moments. Sometimes, people may only interact with officers when they’re in trouble, whether it’s a speeding ticket or a more serious offense.

SHREWSBURY – After years without a hotel in operation, patrons will be able to book a room in Shrewsbury once more.

WESTBOROUGH – In August 2025, a young girl arrived at Launch Entertainment in Westborough excited to celebrate her seventh birthday. But on the day of the party, no one showed up, even though she had invited her classmates.

For a moment, it felt like all of them were gathered at the Shrewsbury Senior Center on Maple Avenue. On August 10, a line of hundreds led to Maria Smith, the designated "scooper" at the Friends of the Senior Center’s annual Ice Cream Social.

WESTBOROUGH – When Daniel Hehir was a middle-schooler in Sterling, his friends in junior-high were able to volunteer for the local fire department. They were just the coolest, Hehir remembered. As soon as he was old enough, he would have family members drive him to the station.

SHREWSBURY – For three hours on a summer Saturday, a group of 10-, 11-, and 12-year-olds turned into some of the town’s best salespeople. Over the course of an afternoon, they held homemade signs along Holman Street, promoted their cause, and helped customers.

Drone deliveries may be coming to town. On August 18, Amazon Air came before the Select Board asking for permission to install a 6,800-square-foot Prime Air Drone Delivery Center at its facility at 64 Otis Street.

NORTHBOROUGH – The building isn’t as pretty as usual, but it’s perfectly functional.

SHREWSBURY – A Korean restaurant is set to occupy the former site of Hooters.
