SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - More questions than answers for people living in Clever. Earlier this month, the mayor gave the community a heads-up that the Christian County Sheriff's Department could handle the city's police services.

Last June, 11-year-old Scarlett Hall was swept away in a bridge culvert at a popular swimming hole in Douglas County. It was clogged with debris and would take first responders several minutes to reach the child, who was trapped underwater, leaving her with critical injuries. For the past 11 months, Hall and her family have been in various hospitals as her body has begun to heal.
