Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, a Mexican national who lived in the U.S. for decades, was fatally shot July 7 as the homebuilder drove his construction crew to a Houston job site. A spokesman for the Department of Homeland Security said the ICE agent fired his weapon "in self-defense" when Salgado allegedly rammed an ICE vehicle with his own vehicle. The claim has been disputed and a federal investigation is underway. (OSV News photo/Antranik Tavitian, Reuters)
