It seems increasingly that the Senate leader is working against the president.

At the core of the ongoing debate between pro- and anti-gun rights activists are statistics. Both sides use crime statistics to support, or try to support, their respective arguments. And on both sides, there are some flaws in the alleged links between the availability of firearms and violent crime rates. The first rule of statistics, after all, is that correlation does not equal causation. Still, as violent crime overall decreases, while the number of armed civilians increases, it becomes all the more difficult for anti-gunners to claim that more guns on the streets lead to higher crime rates.

On June 8, the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform put out a report titled “The Cost of Doing Nothing: How Tim Walz and Keith Ellison Fueled Minnesota's Fraud Explosion.” The public is by now aware of at least the general details of the Minnesota fraud scandal, no thanks to the left-leaning establishment media that acts as if the issue is so trivial that it is unworthy of column inches. Rep. James Comer (R-KY), the Oversight Committee chairman, sent a letter to Vice President JD Vance on June 7, requesting that he investigate the matter further. Vance now heads up the White House Task Force to Eliminate Fraud.

Still, there's a large and very vocal faction on the left who will settle for nothing less than retribution for all the perceived wrongs the Trump administration has done them.
