MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis City Council is set to announce plans to create a police foundation to help aid in the fight against crime Tuesday.

A shooting in Hyde Park left a man seriously hurt, the Memphis Police Department (MPD) said.

The community is paying its respects to fallen MPD Officer Joseph McKinney.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - According to the Shelby County DA's office, the nine Memphis police officers who were put on leave following a shootout that killed an officer and a suspect will not be prosecuted.

Germantown Police said a similar crime occurred across the business park at around the same time, and two other businesses were hit at the beginning of the month. Investigators are working to determine whether all these crimes are connected.
