Troup High School senior Trevor Golightly’s and junior Desh Golightly’s appeal to the University Interscholastic League regarding eligibility of a student-athlete/changing schools for athletic purposes was approved unanimously on Monday morning during the UIL’s State Executive Committee meeting, ruling the Golightly brothers eligible for athletic activities for the 2026-27 school year.
