One of the three men accused of murdering a pregnant woman in Omaha last year appeared in court Friday.

OMAHA, Neb. — Omaha police are asking for help finding a missing 79-year-old man who was last seen on Thursday.

North Omaha organizations are holding a press conference Saturday morning to discuss the Douglas County attorney's decision not to charge a police officer involved in a deadly shooting.On Aug. 28, a search warrant was being served for 37-year-old Cameron Ford, for narcotics and weapons at a residence near 78th and Redick streets, according to authorities.Authorities said officer Adam Vail, "discharged a firearm" during the encounter, and officers provided CPR on the scene.'He didn't stand a chance': Advocates react to decision to not charge officer in deadly shooting. Read more.Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine said the use of deadly force by Vail during the incident was legal based on Nebraska law and the evidence.Omaha Police Chief Todd Schmaderer said Vail will be in a desk assignment until the "grand jury process can evaluate all the evidence and make a determination." He has also issued a policy change ordering all SWAT team members to place body-worn cameras on their helmets going forward.Earlier this week, the Justice for Cameron Coalition gathered outside Omaha Police Headquarters to call for Vail to be fired.Candlelight vigil: Family and friends gather to remember man killed in shooting involving Omaha police officerMembers of the coalition, including members of Ford's family and Omaha police reform organizations, said they're asking for accountability.
